Steam Room Associate

Position Summary

Joe Patti's Seafood Market is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and customer-focused Steam Room Associate to join our team. This position is responsible for preparing steamed seafood orders, maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards, assisting customers with order pickup, and helping ensure a fast-paced, high-quality customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and steam seafood orders according to customer requests and company standards

• Operate steam room equipment safely and efficiently

• Package and label customer orders accurately

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the steam room, workstations, and equipment

• Follow all food safety, health, and sanitation guidelines

• Monitor cooking times and product quality to ensure consistency

• Assist customers courteously and professionally with questions or order pickup

• Restock supplies, seasonings, containers, and seafood products as needed

• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, cashiers, and management

• Assist with opening and closing duties

• Dispose of waste properly and maintain a safe working environment

Qualifications

• Previous food service, seafood preparation, or kitchen experience preferred but not required

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
