Job Details

This is skilled work in the operation of specially designed street sweeping equipment. An employee in this classification, under general supervision, is responsible for street clearing and sweeping. Examples of Work:Operates a specially designed street sweeper. May be required on a regular basis to work pre-dawn hours as scheduled. Performs minor servicing work of sweepers. May perform assignments related to street sweeping duties when needed. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Considerable knowledge of street locations. Considerable knowledge of the operation and servicing of sweeper equipment. Good knowledge of traffic regulations and safe driving practices. Skill in the care and operation of assigned equipment. Ability to carry out oral and/or written instructions. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and the general public.
