EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Records fuel and lube inventory and meter readings of product tanks on applicable logs, data sheets, or databases
Enters fuel a variety of issues related to fuel trucks, storeroom, and/or small engine shop into applicable spreadsheets and/or databases
Prepares and disseminates daily reports to garage locations
Schedules and coordinates delivery of fuels and oils with contractors; meets contractors at various locations to verify products, ensure proper placement within tanks, and that there are no spills
Creates fuel truck keys for new vehicles; replaces broken and lost keys for vehicles
Inspects County fuel sites to verify the proper operation of tank systems
Performs minor repairs on pumps and Trak system by replacing nozzles, hoses, breakaways, filters, Trak boards, and Trak key readers
Performs other duties as assigned
TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Training and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.); or, a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid driver's license from state of residence
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics (KSAO's):
scheduling methods and techniques
applicable compliance guidelines
data maintenance principles
using a computer and related software applications
keyboarding
coordinating and scheduling deliveries
communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction
