Overview

The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for assisting the Project Manager in overseeing back-of-the-house (BOH) food service operations, including food supply procurement, warehousing, preparation, and stock management. This position manages processes and duties as outlined in the PWS or other contracted services for food service on a military installation. Providing quality customer service at all times is essential. The candidate must demonstrate willingness to learn all aspects of the job.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in food service management or a related field.
• At least four (4) years of experience supervising or leading teams.
• Experience working with government personnel/customers concerning contracted services.
• Intermediate computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Ability to interact appropriately with customers and team members.
• Strong management communication skills (written and verbal) and people skills.
• Valid driver's license in the state of residence, with a satisfactory driving record and insurability under company policy.
• Eligibility for work on the specified contract(s) and ability to pass background screenings.

Physical Requirements

May involve travel, working indoors in various weather conditions, handling chemicals, and following emergency procedures. The role may require working early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical demands include bending, crouching, walking, climbing, reaching, sitting, lifting up to 40 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Snow removal duties may also be required.
