Job Description:

The Ice Flyers are currently seeking three to four volunteer locker room attendants to assist the Ice Flyers Head Equipment Manager on home game days.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation of both the Ice Flyers' locker room and the visiting team's locker room prior to the players' arrival on game day
• Set up and break down the Ice Flyers' player bench, visiting team's player bench and the penalty boxes with the required game items (bottles, towels, sticks, game pucks, etc.)
• Collect the spare sticks for both teams and place them on their respective benches according to each equipment manager's specifications
• Fill, refill and swap out water bottles on each bench and penalty boxes during each intermission between periods
• Provide active support for each team throughout the period of play to receive communication from the bench and fulfill any needs from the either locker room
• Support post game clean up and preparation for the next home game
• Communicate and coordinate with the Ice Flyers Head Equipment Manager throughout the week leading up to a home game and thoughout game day
• Demonstrate and maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Hockey Operations staff and office staff

Qualifications:

• Experience in a sports setting required; experience in a hockey setting preferred
• Commitment to perform duties at the highest level possible on a consistent basis.
• Demonstrate strategic thinking skills and personal accountability
• Positive attitude and desire to be successful while having fun within a professional and team-oriented environment
• Work well in a team environment and ability to collaborate with others
• Coachable and eager to learn
• Reliable transportation is required
