Heavy Equipment Operator

A Pensacola based company is looking for full time heavy equipment operators! This Direct Hire position will be responsible for safely operating excavators, bulldozers, motor graders, front-end loaders, and off-road trucks for underground pipe and dirt/ site crew. We are looking for team players interested in a long-term position and who want an opportunity to grow with the company.

What you'll be doing to make an impact:

• Operate earthwork/heavy equipment in a safe manner
• Follow all OSHA and company safety policies.
• Inspect and maintain all equipment daily, document inspections.
• Perform excavation/trenching, backfill, compaction, sloping using various types of equipment.
• Loading and offloading rocks, debris, and other materials.
• Perform land clearing/grubbing/grading.
• Aiding coworkers to ensure that the site is clean and organized each day.
• Providing suggestions to refine workflow and boost efficiency.
• Communicate with foreman, and superintendent on any equipment repairs needed.
• Asphalt and/or pipe (water, storm, etc.) experience a PLUS.
• Finish dozer skills a PLUS.
• GPS dozer skills a PLUS
• May be required to perform manual labor in addition to job duties

What you'll bring to the job:

• Heavy equipment operation: 2 years (Required)
• CDL B (Preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent vision or the use of prescribed lenses.
• Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• A sound understanding of pertinent safety guidelines.
• Capacity to provide and follow direction.
• Sharp decision-making skills, particularly when under pressure.
• Ability to work extended hours, as required.
