DescriptionGeneral SummaryNICET II qualified Fire Sprinkler Inspector will provide fire sprinkler inspection, testing, and maintenance services for the Base Operational Support contract at Pensacola NAS. The ideal candidate will have experience inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems. They will be responsible for conducting inspections in accordance with NFPA 25 standards and keeping accurate records of all inspections. The Fire Sprinkler Inspector will also be responsible for troubleshooting any problems with sprinkler systems and making repairs as necessary.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesConduct fire sprinkler system inspections in accordance with NFPA standards and local codesPrepare inspection reports detailing the findings of each inspection and recommend any necessary repairs or replacementsKeep abreast of new technologies and products related to fire sprinkler systems and share this information with clientsEducate clients on the importance of regular fire sprinkler system maintenance and provide them with tips on how to keep their systems in good working orderMaintain accurate records of all inspections conducted, including digital photos when applicableFollow up with clients after an inspection to ensure that any recommended repairs or replacements have been made in a timely mannerSchedule and coordinate annual fire sprinkler system maintenance contracts with service providersRespond to client inquiries in a prompt and professional mannerStay up-to-date on NFPA standards and local code changes that may impact fire sprinkler systemsAttend continuing education courses related to fire sprinkler systems on a regular basisServe as a resource to clients, architects, engineers, and other professionals regarding fire sprinkler systemsPerform other duties as assignedKnowledge, Experience and Skill RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentNFPA 13 certificationNICET II certification in Fire Sprinkler Systems Layout4 years of experience designing, inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systemsStrong knowledge of applicable local, state, and national codesAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsExcellent communication, customer service, and time-management skillsWork EnvironmentFire sprinkler inspectors work in a variety of settings, including office buildings, factories, and other commercial and industrial buildings.Full time position requiring 40 hours per week, occasional overtime is possible.
