POSITION: LCD Assembler I (Display Module)

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO: Supervisor, LCD

POSITION SUMMARY:

The LCD Assembler I uses kitted parts to assemble display modules and verifies functional and visual performance to ensure compliance with established standards.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Receives and stores module assembly kits.

* Assembles kitted module parts including PC boards, housing components, displays and backlights using designated assembly drawings.

* Performs powered visual testing on module assemblies with test equipment provided.

* Performs photometric testing as required for lamp drive adjustment.

* Prioritizes production orders based on dispatch list.

* Maintains necessary bench supplies to include commonly used screws, solder, hand tools, q-tips, and alcohol.

* Reports transactions as required into the IFS system.

* Assists supervisor with assembly or process modifications.

* Communicates process anomalies to the supervisor for follow up.

* Maintains clean and orderly work station.

JOB SKILLS REQUIRED:

* Must be able to read assembly drawings and work instructions.

* General computer skills are required. IFS experience a plus.

* Basic data entry skills

* Basic English language skills

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

* High School Diploma or equivalent

* 1 year of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

* Light Work- This role may require exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up 10 pounds of force frequently to lift carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Most essential functions are performed while sitting but walking and standing is occasionally required.

* Must be able to climb stairs to access assembly area.

* Manual dexterity is required in the assembly or fabrication of parts which may result in the repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and fingers.

* Visual acuity is required for visual inspection of boards involving small defects, small parts, using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.
